Department: Facilities ManagementReports to: Nursery Manager and Facilities ManagerJob Summary:We are seeking meticulous and dependable Nursery Cleaners and Housekeepers to join our team in Dubai, UAE, for 2024. These roles are crucial for maintaining a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for children and ensuring high standards of cleanliness across all nursery areas. As a Nursery Cleaner or Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in supporting the overall health and well-being of children and staff by maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.Key Responsibilities:Daily Cleaning and Housekeeping Tasks:
Floors and Surfaces:
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in classrooms, play areas, corridors, and offices.Dust and polish furniture, toys, and equipment.Clean and sanitize surfaces, including tables, countertops, and play equipment.Restroom Maintenance:Clean and sanitize sinks, toilets, and urinals.Replenish restroom supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.Ensure restrooms are hygienic and presentable at all times.Waste Management:Empty and sanitize trash bins.Ensure proper disposal of waste materials.Segregate recyclable materials and follow eco-friendly waste disposal practices.Specialized Cleaning:Deep Cleaning:
Perform deep cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing, floor waxing, and upholstery cleaning on a scheduled basis.Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors to maintain a clear and bright environment.Disinfect high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and handrails.Spill and Stain Management:Promptly address spills and stains to prevent accidents and maintain hygiene.Use appropriate cleaning agents and techniques to remove tough stains.Health and Safety:Regulations Compliance:
Follow all health and safety regulations.Use cleaning chemicals and supplies according to safety procedures.Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.Hazard Reporting:Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or necessary repairs to the Nursery Manager or Facilities Manager.Ensure all cleaning equipment is in good working condition and report any faults immediately.Additional Duties:Event Support:
Assist with setting up and cleaning for nursery events, meetings, and activities.Ensure the cleanliness of outdoor play areas and equipment.Collaboration:Work closely with other team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.Assist with other housekeeping duties as assigned by the Nursery Manager or Facilities Manager.Qualifications:Experience and Skills:Experience:- Prior experience as a cleaner or housekeeper, preferably in a nursery or educational setting.
Skills:- Strong attention to detail and a thorough approach to cleaning tasks.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Physical Requirements:Physical Stamina:- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.Comfortable working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor areas.
Working Conditions:Environment:- Work in a dynamic and busy nursery environment.May require working early mornings, late evenings, or weekends based on the nursery’s needs.
Team Interaction:- Collaborate with a diverse team of nursery staff and management.Engage positively with children, parents, and visitors to the nursery.
