Responsibilities of Interior Design Specialist Job

• Continuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback, and request training where appropriate.
• Conduct research from internal and external practices to find cost-effective design solutions.
• Participate and contribute to a development culture where information regarding successes, issues, trends, and ideas are actively shared.
• Keep up to date with the latest trends regarding interior, and how work is performed in order to provide cutting-edge workspace solutions. Utilize insights from trend analysis to inform future design settings, processes, and procedures.
• Meets with clients to gather project requirements; understand and interpret requirements. Initiate communication with all relevant project stakeholders to determine scope, timelines, and resources necessary for project completion; create design development CAD (Computer Automated Design) drawings for client approval to proceed.
• Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements.

Requirements

• Proficiency in interior design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit.
• Strong knowledge of design principles, including color theory, spatial planning, and material selection.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to understand and interpret clients’ needs and preferences.
• Creativity and innovation to develop unique and aesthetically pleasing design concepts.
• Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and specifications.
