Responsibilities Of Welders Jobs In New Zealand 2024

Below are the responsibilities of welder jobs in New Zealand

  • Perform fitting, welding and other fabrication duties as directed.
  • Plant maintenance, including tunnel machine equipment.
  • Maintain and check all mechanical gear on-site at the start of each shift;
  • Ensure critical items of plant and equipment are 100% available when required;
  • Fabrication and Fitting to drawings and client’s specifications
  • Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the welding equipment on site;
  • Accurate recording of hours worked on timesheets for payroll and invoicing

Requirements

  • Trades qualification relevant to fabrication and welding and plant and equipment maintenance e.g. National Certification in Engineering Level 4
  • 3 to 5 years experience relevant to the designated project and having previously held a Mechanical Fitter/Welder position
  • Sound working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementing of same
  • Motivated to meet targets and schedules
  • Strong and clear verbal English communication skills
  • Location of work: Auckland
