Responsibilities of Trust Specialist Job

  • Achieve total revenue targets by either growing existing clients (optimizing revenue opportunities) or by acquiring new clients.
  • Drive an Increase in the average balance of the specific portfolio of assets as defined in the Financial Performance Report of the business.
  • Control revenue and costs in the Trust and Investment department to achieve the company cost-to-income ratio as set per product line budget, in line with company standards.
  • Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers’ expectations through proactive, innovative, and appropriate solutions.
  • Identify and source additional assets and build a book of assets under management.
  • Acquisition of Trust business, both internal and external to the FirstRand Group in order to increase the value of assets under management and the scale of the Group.
  • Manage and administer investment portfolio.
  • Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements.
  • Identify and source additional assets and build a book of assets under management.
  • Improve business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence (information) together with analyzing.
  • Manage own development to increase own competencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, law, or related field.
  • Previous experience in trust administration, estate planning, or wealth management.
  • Strong understanding of trust laws, regulations, and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of financial products and investment strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in documentation and records.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in trust administration.
  • Certification such as Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) is a plus.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex situations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
