Job Description

Standard Bank Group is seeking applications for the Software Engineering job in Johannesburg. This is a full-time job position. To facilitate the test effort’s success by driving quality and test advocacy, resource planning and management, and resolution of issues that impede the test effort.

Responsibilities of Software Engineering job

  • Develop and maintain software solutions tailored to banking systems and processes
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and security standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for new features or enhancements
  • Implement and integrate third-party banking software solutions as needed
  • Perform thorough testing to verify the functionality, security, and performance of banking software
  • Monitor and troubleshoot software issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize disruption to banking operations
  • Maintain documentation for software design, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in banking technology to recommend improvements and innovations.

Requirements for Software Engineering

  • Minimum of 5 Years Proven working experience in software development Life Cycle. 
  • Ability to document information about information systems and or process and operational specifications.
  • Experience in executing testing through a combination of machine learning, AI processes, and traditional automation practices.
  • Understands and applies the principles of structured testing and existing methodologies through the application of various types of test tools and relevant process modeling.
  • Knowledge to use a software development process converting software requirements to test cases before the software is fully developed,  repeatedly testing the software against all test cases.
