Job Description

Sales Support Manager Job. To proactively manage the CAF CIB Business Unit operations, compliance, and credit risk function while ensuring Absa Relationship Banking policies, procedures, and all the applicable regulatory requirements are adhered to. Furthermore, to manage a team of Business Analysts & Sales Support Consultants within the agreed financial budgets and in support of the strategic business plan.

Responsibilities of Sales Support Manager Job

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Business Analysts & Consultant Sales Support team to ensure effective delivery of the customer value proposition within the target markets.
  • To perform complex business analyst’s duties within the CIB team      
  • Develop a high-performing team by embedding the formal performance development process and informal performance coaching.
  • Encourage frequent knowledge sharing between team members.   
  • Oversee and manage the sales support team to ensure efficient operations.
  • Develop and implement sales support strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other departments to optimize sales processes.
  • Train and mentor sales support staff to enhance performance.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that the BCM Plan for the Business Unit is tested as required and corrective actions executed       
  • Manage any premises issues, including the availability of technology and systems, within the Business Unit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Additional certifications in sales or customer service are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales support or related roles.
  • Proven experience in managing a team or department.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and generate reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Education

  • Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce, and Management Studies (Required).
