To manage and accountable for the day-to-day, weekly and monthly regulatory governance, compliance and non-financial risk activities by ensuring that the business is fully compliant with all applicable compliance and regulatory legislation and that the business operates within the Standard Bank Groups Non-Financial Risk framework, supporting the Key Individuals, Chief Operating Officer, Business Compliance Officer (BCO) and Head of Operations in the execution of their duties regulatory duties.

- Develop, implement, and maintain risk management and compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential risks to the organization.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls.
- Monitor and review compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on risk management and compliance matters.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and auditors.
- Coordinate internal audits and compliance reviews.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues or breaches.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and board of directors.
- Stay updated on emerging risks, regulatory changes, and best practices in risk management and compliance.
