Job Description
Lead Scrum Master Job. The Scrum master will be the facilitator for a product development team that uses Scrum/agile as the development methodology. The scrum master will lead a team that ensures self-organization and the ability to make changes quickly. The role will ensure that agile principles and concepts are adhered to to ensure effective preparation of the product backlog, sprint backlog, and burn-down charts.
Responsibilities of Lead Scrum Master Job
- Coach and mentor Scrum team members on Agile principles, practices, and values to foster continuous improvement and self-organization.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to prioritize backlog items and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Remove impediments and barriers that hinder the progress of the Scrum team, escalating issues when necessary.
- Monitor and track team progress, sprint velocity, and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
- Foster a collaborative and transparent team culture by promoting open communication, feedback, and collaboration.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and coordination between development teams, product owners, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to Agile frameworks and methodologies, adapting practices as needed to suit the team and project requirements.
- Continuously improve Agile processes and practices through experimentation, reflection, and adaptation.
- Serve as a servant leader, empowering team members to take ownership and accountability for their work while fostering a culture of trust and collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar agile certification.
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in software development projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean principles.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to mentor and coach team members on Agile practices and principles.
- Proficiency in Agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and facilitating Scrum ceremonies.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to promote a collaborative and self-organizing team culture.
- Flexibility and adaptability to navigate changing project requirements and priorities.
Education
- National Certificate: Information Technology.
