• The role is available as full-time.

• Wage starts from $28/hr to $30/hr dependent on experience. A minimum of 35 hours per week and maximum of 45 per week hours (except during the calving period when hours will not exceed 55 per week). Additional hours will be paid at an agreed overtime rate.

• The role will suit someone that has an interest in dairy operations and animal husbandry. While previous farm experience is preferred, it isn’t essential. The right applicant must have the desire and willingness to learn, have a high standard of work ethic and able to work well on their own and with the wider team.

Key Areas

• Ability to run the milking shed; setting the shed for milking, retrieve cows and milking the herd, assisting with wash down of yard and plant. Ensure milking and washdown is completely efficiently.
• Assisting in milking process, ensuring proper sanitation and hygiene practices are followed.
• Helping identify cows with mastitis, lameness. With guidance of the Farm Manager, help with treatments on animals.

General Farm Duties:

• Assist with day-to-day farm operation duties; setting break fences, spraying weeds, general repairs and maintenance
