H Mangat Transport Limited is the company that is offering this amazing job opportunity for the latest Driver job in New Zealand. The company is currently seeking experienced and reliable Truck Drivers to join our Auckland team. Must be available for weekend work and can stay away from time to time due to the nature of work to complete the job. If 24 hours break is needed outside Auckland, then the company pays for accommodation and meals.

Responsibilities of Driver job in New Zealand

  • Delivering a wide variety of Goods and Cargo to different routes and various regions.
  • Follow routes and time schedule.
  • Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle.
  • Maintain clear records of deliveries made.
  • Complete log books on time and reports accurately and in a timely clear manner.
  • Ensure the truck is loaded appropriately at all times and the material is recorded correctly.
  • Ensure all loads comply with height, weight and specification at all times.
  • Driving class 4/5 trucks
  • Conducting road worthiness and safety checks prior to each journey.
  • Drive vehicle combinations to destinations in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
  • Hook and unhook trailers from prime movers or lead trailers including manoeuvring into place.
  • Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight.
  • Ensure accurate deliveries without damage and within timeframes
  • Estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight
  • Ensure to report any incident
  • Ensure Road User Charges (RUC), Registration and COF are up to date.
  • Maintain and regularly inspect company vehicle for safe operations
  • Ensure that all load documentation required to move with freight is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies freight when delivered
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
