Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our facilities management team. The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of our premises. This role is crucial in ensuring a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for our employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Cleaning Tasks:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all areas, including offices, corridors, restrooms, and common areas.
- Dust and polish furniture, surfaces, and equipment.
- Empty trash bins, ensuring waste is disposed of properly.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
- Restroom Maintenance:
- Sanitize and clean sinks, toilets, and urinals.
- Replenish restroom supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Specialized Cleaning:
- Handle spills and stains promptly and effectively.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing, floor waxing, and upholstery cleaning as needed.
- Operate cleaning machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Health and Safety:
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Use cleaning chemicals and supplies according to safety procedures.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or necessary repairs to the Facilities Manager.
- Additional Duties:
- Assist with setting up and cleaning for events and meetings.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Prior experience as a cleaner or janitor is preferred but not required.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and a thorough approach to cleaning tasks.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
- This role involves working in various environments, including offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- May require working early mornings, late evenings, or weekends based on the facility’s needs.
