Health Care Assistant
Toru Ward
Permanent, Part-time Position
Ward 8 is a 32-bed surgical ward specialising in Colorectal, Breast, Endocrine, and Melanoma surgery, and we are looking for a Health Care Assistant to join our team of committed professionals. Utilising the collaborative model of care, you will be working closely with our Registered Nurses to provide excellent care to our patients.

Our requirements for our ward are:
- A strong command of English
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Assisting Registered Nurses by keeping the ward clean and tidy
- Directing enquiries
- Making beds, ordering and handing out meals, and providing personal care
- Knowledge and understanding of the healthcare system
- Previous experience working as a Health Care Assistant in New Zealand
You must be eligible to work in New Zealand, as Waitematā cannot support your visa application nor offer sponsorship for this role.
