FX Product Lead Job. An FX Product Lead is a strategic and innovative professional responsible for overseeing the development, enhancement, and management of foreign exchange (FX) products and services within financial institutions or fintech companies. With a deep understanding of global markets, currency trading, and FX technology, the FX Product Lead collaborates with cross-functional teams to define product vision, roadmap, and features that align with market trends and customer needs. They drive product strategy, pricing, and positioning to optimize revenue and market share in the highly competitive FX landscape.
Responsibilities of FX Product Lead Job
- Schedule and lead meetings to identify product issues, assist with the execution of the roadmap on a quarterly basis, and assist with iterative and daily traction, to achieve Business outcomes.
- Understand Business and Technology needs to meet the key deliverables of the organization.
- Perform detailed analysis of Business and Technical requirements and assist in the implementation of complex and resilient FX Trading platform solutions.
- Anticipate internal and external factors impacting the FX Business and implement plans to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and hold workshops where necessary – within the Absa CIB IB Product team as well as external parties.
- Responsible for Customer Application Support – Engage L1 & L2 Support, internal & external application users, clients, and vendors on issues, drive incident resolution, and ensure ongoing management and support of existing FX Services and product sets.
- Engage and communicate with stakeholders on a regular basis to assess and understand their business requirements.
- Be comfortable with documenting new and existing requirements using online tooling (Confluence) and writing user stories (Azure)
Requirements
- Relevant B-Degree in Computer Science preferred.
- 8+ years of Technology experience.
- Min 5 years of business & systems analysis experience.
- Knowledge and experience with web applications.
- Experience and knowledge of financial and FX products and solutions.
- Min 3-5+ years’ experience in financial services or similar roles.

- Proven track record of implementing successful products and systems in a demanding environment.
