Evis Farm Worker jobs in New Zealand 2024. General Purpose: This position is responsible for evaluating the quality of the product being produced, report deficiencies to Supervisor so they can take appropriate action. Sorter must be able to keep up with line speed so they can act in a quick manner over quality issues. Inform Supervisor of any mechanical breakdowns or production problems. Can make product pathology dispositions and keep food safety dispositions a priority. Conduct workflow for the New Poultry Inspection System (NPIS) Evisceration operation.

Role Responsibilities and Qualifications Evis Farm Worker jobs:

Employee will need to be able to:

  • Lift and stack up to 80 pounds
  • Work at a fast pace for up to 3 hours at a time
  • Work in a warm, dusty environment for extended periods.
  • Work in a cold, moist environment for extended periods.
  • Push and/or Pull heavy objects
  • Tolerate the sight of continuous moving objects
  • Walk up and down multiple flights of stairs multiple times daily.
  • Wash out carcasses in the wash cabinet, as well as by hand
  • Cut and salvage assigned components of the animal
  • Responsible for keeping work area as clean as possible throughout the shift
  • Frequently rotates positions within the Salvage Line with other co-workers
  • Inspect carcasses for quality
  • Receive all carcasses that were culled during processing
  • Always keep processing line shackles full
  • Perform rework as needed
  • Work directly with the USDA inspector
Education and/or Experience Evis Farm Worker jobs
  • No prior experience or training
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Perform all tasks safely and in a manner that will not create or pose a direct threat to the health and/or safety of the worker or any other person.
