Responsibilities of Data Scientist Job

  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.

Requirements

  • Ensure compliance with statutory, legislative, policy, and governance requirements within the area of responsibility.
  • Innovate solutions tailored to specific situations, focusing on flexible delivery and customized credit solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Develop and apply analytical algorithms and methods to construct, test, and implement robust mathematical models addressing business problems, and opportunities, and improving outcomes such as risk reduction, cost savings, and increased profitability.
  • Maintain ownership of developed models through regular monitoring and updates to ensure ongoing relevance.
  • Perform regular updates on credit models, addressing evolving business complexities and ensuring accuracy of outputs.
  • Validate, interpret, and present reports and presentations on data analytics for management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Review and support junior Quantitative Analysts in their processes and model development.
  • Adhere strictly to model-building policies, standards, frameworks, and governance processes.
  • Ensure ethical usage of information, complying with privacy and sensitivity restrictions.
  • Implement and enforce privacy business requirements, legislation, and policies, reporting any Information Privacy Incidents and ensuring appropriate resolution.
  • Provide input into the creation of delivery plans, collaborating with business stakeholders to define metrics tracking performance and understanding information requirements for strategy delivery.
  • Assist in analyzing available data to identify untapped commercialization opportunities addressing business needs and revenue options.
  • Aid in the production of analytics within approved architectures, translating technical data into practical business information.
  • Analyze information requirements, data availability, and quality to provide management with resolution options.

Education

  • Minimum Qualification – B.Sc / B.Com Maths, Stats, Economics, Actuarial Sciences, Quantitative Risk Management or equivalent.
  • Experience – Minimum 5 years experience in relevant industry and an analytical type of role.
