Job Description
Business Analyst Job. Responsible for eliciting and validating business requirements with stakeholders and analyzing and translating business requirements into requirement packages from which application solutions are developed. The business analyst is responsible for defining business needs for new and/or enhanced products, services, or optimized business processes.
Responsibilities of Business Analyst Job
- Analyse business from all aspects to develop an in-depth understanding of the business.
- Work with end users and project owners to identify business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Do a gap analysis between the current and required specifications.
- Oversee the planning and execution of systems testing.
- Analyse existing business processes and facilitate with stakeholders to make improvements.
- Identify and define business processes and system development or configuration requirements to realize the process end goal.
- Work with project team members to define metrics/performance goals/ acceptance criteria for the solution or system.
- Assist in translating requirements into test conditions and expected results for unit development, system integration, and UAT.
- Participate in quality reviews or set reviews of designs, prototypes, and other work products.
Requirements
- Have a BCom, B.Eng., BSc Eng., BSc Informatics, or related degree.
- 3 – 5 years as a Business Analyst.
- Have experience with API design & Database design.
- Can write technical requirements.
- Are accredited with a TOGAF certification (advantageous).
- Having programming experience is (advantageous).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees such as Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) are advantageous.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are beneficial.
