Job Description
ATM Custodian Job. At FirstRand, the successful incumbent is required to have sound knowledge of the business as well as its Cash and ATM/ADT Custodian processes and procedures and how they interface with the front end. Expected to be vigilant and drive zero tolerance with regard to differences and always ensure that a high standard of work is maintained.
Responsibilities of ATM Custodian Job
- Load, maintain, and replenish ATM/ADT devices within the business.
- Be responsible for a number of ATM/ADTs and undertake the routine.
- Take full custodianship of ATM/ADT devices.
- Reduce PULA value of ATM/ADT differences as being the total of absolute net shortages plus absolute net surplus as reflected on the General Ledger of the business unit under control.
- Achieve Balanced Scorecard Profit Results for the Self.
- Ensure cost controls within budget requirements e.g. cell phone bills and tools of trade vehicles and effective control and management of overtime targets.
- Achieve the delivery of exceptional customer by providing first-line support and after-hours support on a 7-day standby week according to required Service Level Agreements.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license.
- Preferred candidates should reside around Gauteng South.
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
- Knowledge of ATM operations, including cash replenishment and maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues with ATMs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash transactions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow standard operating procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy boxes of cash and perform routine maintenance tasks on ATMs.
