Job Description

Area Segment Manager – Growth (FAIS) Job. As an Area Segment Manager specializing in Growth under the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (FAIS), this role is pivotal in driving strategic initiatives aimed at expanding market share and revenue within designated segments. Responsible for overseeing the growth strategy implementation, the Area Segment Manager plays a key role in identifying market opportunities, developing targeted marketing strategies, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities of Area Segment Manager Job

  • Coach, mentor and manage team members toward driving business objectives and ensuring colleague development.
  • Fulfil all activities in adherence to relevant control and compliance requirements, and quality standards.
  • Manage the levels of performance and service standards that need to be achieved by translating the Business Unit’s strategy into achievable objectives and contracting these through the Performance Development process for the team.
  • Constantly seek to improve ways of working by challenging the status quo and supporting an empowering climate within the team, sharing knowledge, experience, and best practices, and providing constructive feedback as required.
  • To provide service excellence and achieve customer satisfaction. Must have Agric knowledge/ background.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., FAIS accreditation) preferred.
  • Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial products, services, and regulatory requirements, particularly within the FAIS framework.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute growth strategies, including market analysis, segmentation, and targeted marketing initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and achieving business objectives.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to inform growth strategies.
  • Commitment to compliance with regulatory standards and best practices within the financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of driving growth and achieving targets within a competitive market environment.
