Responsibilities of Application Technology Information Jobs
- Engage with customers to gain an understanding of the customer’s operating environment and business requires in order to implement IoT solutions relevant to their business goals.
- Leverage IoT platform and engineering technical expertise to proactively identify risks and prevent defects.
- Research, develop, test and document new IoT solutions.
- Design, code and test features of IoT platform and applications.
- Monitor the IoT platform’s key performance metrics to ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness.
- Contribute to all phases of the development life cycle, ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the engineered IoT platforms and applications.
- Develop, modify, adapt and optimise platform solutions for better performance and experience.
- Provide high-level technical support and operatively resolve incidents in the functionality of IoT platform solutions.
- Contribute to the development IoT platforms and applications release updates and upgrades.
- Engage with OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) with regard to the day-to-day performance of the IoT platforms and applications.
- Apply best practice, and continuous improvement and innovation at process and procedure level.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-year tertiary degree in Computer Science.
- An MBA or post graduate degree is advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an ICT environment within the Telecoms sector, with at least 3 years specialisation experience in IoT operations delivery.
- Deep understanding of Telemetry, Machine to Machine and Internet of Things (IoT) and in-depth knowledge of relevant platforms such as Cisco Jasper and ZSmart.
- Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise (understanding emerging markets is advantageous).
- Worked across diverse cultures and geographies.
