MIS Operational Expert Job. To provide intelligent business information to management that informs their strategic people management practices through the provision of regular MIS reports based on a complete and clear understanding of the database including the co-ordination and management of changes to the MIS database, the streamlining of MIS reports and processes.

- Promotes teamwork amongst peers and team members.
- Empower customers to use tools to generate reports.
- Creates solutions to meet customer demands.
- Ensures customer service solutions are aligned with the operational business plan.
- Ensures continuous process improvement to enable effective operational processes.
- Contributes to the financial gain of the Company through accurate and on-time legislative reporting.
- Administers the management information system database.
- Manages the quality standards of the database.
- Participates in planned activities that are appropriate for own development.
Requirements
- Experience working with databases, querying data, and understanding database structures.
- Proficiency in analyzing data, identifying trends, and drawing insights.
- Familiarity with languages such as SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and reporting.
- Knowledge of tools like Power BI for creating visualizations.
- Ability to comprehend organizational workflows and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Familiarity with the industry or sector in which the organization operates.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to work with cross-functional teams and bridge the gap between IT and business units.
- Capability to identify problems, propose solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to spot inconsistencies and anomalies in data.
- Experience managing projects, adhering to timelines, and ensuring successful implementation.
Education
- Grade 12.
- A degree in either Computer Science, Information Science, Management Information Systems, or Business Informatics would be an advantage.
