Responsibilities for Adviser Life SPM (FAIS)

  • Actively promote and manage the collaborative engagement of internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, suppliers, clients, service providers, business partners, and other Absa entities.
  • Proactively make self-initiated contact with customers to deliver against the required sales targets
  • Do activity planning by identifying the clients to be contacted during a particular period.
  • Fulfil all activities in adherence to relevant control and compliance requirements, and quality standards.
  • Ensure that staff members (Broker Assistants and Interns as relevant) have a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities within the practice.

Requirements

  • Possession of a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Accreditation as a Financial Services Provider (FSP) under the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS).
  • Registration as a Key Individual with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA).
  • Comprehensive understanding of life insurance products, regulations, and industry practices.
  • Proven track record in providing financial advice and planning services.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, assess client needs, and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Compliance with ethical standards and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous professional development to stay updated on industry trends and changes in legislation.
  • Experience in managing client portfolios and maintaining client relationships.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology tools used in financial planning and advisory services.
